Today is Sunday, which is the best day of the week, when most of the time it’s a lazy and also glorious day, I accidentally want to imagine my life in my dream. Lots of people usually say that “No one imposes taxes on dreams”, so writing down our dreams is quite an interesting idea for today. Who knows, to our surprise, in a good perspective, it may be an inspiration which can assist us in trying to turn our dream into reality or something fun for nostalgia.

So… let’s get started!

The scene would take place when I’m 30-40 years old and live in a tranquil place in the countryside by myself. An elegant, knowledgeable and mature woman, those would be the adjectives people use to describe me. With no doubts, the girl at the age of 26 or the woman at the age of 36 would still have a tall and vintage look. The clothes made from natural materials with neutral colors would fill my old closet. Maybe with this lifestyle of mine, the neighbors would think I’m a weird person but who cares, it’s all my choices (which) I would be happy with.

Every morning, like a princess, I would be waken up by the sunlight shining through the window, the fresh air infused with the scent of the grass would be my gentle alarm. When the sun hasn’t risen yet, the morning dew remains on the leaves, I would take advantage of this time to visit my garden to water the plants, sow the seeds and harvest the ripe fruits and vegetables. My farm would resemble my granny’s, it would be neither too small nor too big, but just enough for me and I would even have extra products to sell to my neighbors. In my dream garden, some sweet potato beds, a few pergolas of luffa, lots of rows of kale, etc. would make up a beautiful picture.

Beside this garden full of green plants, there would be a vividly colorful garden where we can enjoy every evening. My garden would be like a best friend, always there when I need, listening to me and smiling at me with leaves gently swaying in the wind. Like the way my grandma and I used to bring the chairs to the yard, eat snacks, drink tea, and listen the sound of the halcyon evening.

Furthermore, I’m a dreamer but I’m a realist as well so even if that were just a dream, I would need a job to earn money doing the things I like. It should be sewing, crocheting or selling vintage items, etc. I’m not sure but these are the things I’m good at and confident with. Especially, I would imagine that on a rainy day, curl up on the chair and knit a wool rug while watching the rain falls through the window frame. And in the atmosphere of a dreamy day, soft music and a little cozy fragrance from the scented candles are a must. In addition to the poetic things above, my jobs would equally allow me to work independently and customers would comfortably come to shop or visit every weekend. And it would be perfect if my little shop followed the style of the Japanese in the films I watched before: a shop with simple, neutral colored and wooden furniture; and my customers would be like friends, they would come to the shop and chat about whatever we like.

On these beautiful days, everyday would be a different day, feel free to do what I love and live life to the fullest in my own safe place. I don’t know this dream will come true or not, I don’t know my dream in my future will change or not, but in the present, the pretty things in my dream are the motivation to make my life a little brighter and happier.
